In a frank talk I once had with a Pentax rep, I found out that Pentax tells Pentax USA little more than Pentax tells us.
That, I believe, very much reflects the behaviour of all representatives outside Japan.
He described the company officials as arrogant.
In this country, the Japanese are simply referred to as "silent". :-)Jostein
