With regard to metering using TTL:Some meter cells are more sensitive to the red end of the spectrum than others. For this reason, TTL metering with yellow-orange-red filters sometimes underexposes while TTL metering with green-blue filters sometimes overexposes.
It's best to calibrate your camera's meter with all the filters you intend to use so you know how much you need to compensate for this.
