The good news is that I have all the lenses I need (for the moment  
and for the near-term future) and I'm quite satisfied with them. So  
these announcements mean very little to me.

I will be delighted to consider the next generation Pentax body when  
and if it appears, and will buy one if it nets me an advantage for my  
work. If I find I need something that Pentax does not make, I'll buy  
it from whomever does. It's just equipment.

I'm concentrating on making photographs now. :-)
