As far as metering went, I looked at what the *ist D was telling me in hyper-program center-weighted mode and it seemed like what I might have guessed. I simply metered the whole scene, and then checked the results on the LCD. I adjusted contrast and unsharp masked in Photoshop.

It got a link on www.spaceweather.com this morning.
