Congrats, Mickey. You are right - 40mm is a lovely focal lenght. The diagonal of a 35mm neg is close to 43.3mm. I suppose it's very close to what we might call a "normal" lens - neither wide angle nor telephoto. Regards Jens

After I saw the reports from Mark Lindamood and others that the DA 40mm will work on 35mm (despite what Pentax says), I knew I had to get one eventually. It arrived from Adorama on Friday.
