This is part of the Pentax mystique. The manuals are written by
marketing people who have never seen, much used, the Pentax equipment
about which they are writing. A clearly written manual would diminish
the sense of adventure derived from exploring the camera's
functionality on your own. In fairness to Pentax, I think that most if
not all camera and electronic manufacturers outsource their manual
writing to the same small company in Vietnam.
