Hmm. Looks about like my office does right now. You've obviously
been busy... ;-)
My 1705 CRT is getting a bit long in the tooth and takes up to much
acreage on my 'desk'. I have to eBay a shed-load of stuff, I might
just
squeeze in a used LCD screen if I can sneek it past security ;-)
You've still got a 1705? Lucky man, mine died of the chronic
flyback failure a few years ago(notorious problem with 1705's). For
a 17" it was pretty nice.
The AV versions of that monitor were a nightmare, the standard ones
worked well enough but it was never a particularly reliable beast. I
had one when I had my PowerMac 8100(?) system, ie, the last
generation of hardware I had before the G4.
There are a ton of decent LCDs on the market now. But I like the
Apple Cinema Display 20" and 23". Just bought a 23 for the new G5
setup (still sitting in boxes in the livingroom, too much to do until
Sunday gets here!) that I dragged out of the box for a moment to see
how it fit on my desk. It takes up less room than the iMac G4 20"
system does and provides a useful increase in screen area, which is
pleasing given the hefty premium over the 20".
Ah, I should get back to work now ...
