It does.
Still your portfolio (made with some kind of equipment) will still play a
major part of you references.

To me going digital have been a major improvement. since it allows me to
shoot like a pro. Which means shooting a lot.
When people ask me what's the sectret of doing good photograps, I usually
anwer:
The sectret is simply to throw away the bad ones!
