Thanks Bob and Roman for the info!
Personally, I like the KM DSLRs and am fairly excited to hear that
Sony is picking them up and moving forward. As I've mentioned in
other posts, the KM 7D was a close second to the Pentax *ist DS when
I was looking for something different from the Canon 10D. I was just
as unfamiliar at that time with the Pentax lenses as I still am now
with the KM lenses, but I know from distant memory of my XD11 kit
that Minolta made some very good lenses, and Konica lenses were
always well thought of as well.
It's good to see these cameras moving forward. I'll be interested to
see what development Sony applies to the KM designs, other than the
brand name. I think we can fortell that a "9D" type model, likely
with the same or similar 10Mpixel sensor that Pentax will use in
their upcoming body, is almost guaranteed to happen soon.
