I did some portraits this afternoon using great technology for the task--a
screwmount Spotmatic SP500 and 85mm f/1.8 M42 lens. Unfortunately my
battery-powered late-model Sekonic light meter took the opportunity to crap
out on me (fresh battery and all), and I had to guess the exposures, but I
was shooting color neg film so I imagine I'll be all right. I'll probably
fix that by getting a Sekonic "Director" selenium-cell meter that works
without batteries. And that works, period.
I can't wait to see the results. Sure looked good through the finder. When's
the next portrait PUG?
