We bought our first one about 20 years ago. Had to dump the first two pots of tea because, even after halving the quantity of tea leaves, it was still way too strong. Finally settled with aout a quarter of the quantity used before. By that alone, the filter cartridges more than pay for themselves. Also, the funny skin on top of the tea in the cup is gone. Have I already mentioned it tastes better? The same goes for coffee. Ralf -- Ralf R.
