This reminded me -- I did 24x36s of landscapes and interiors for a guy who was using the 55mm 3.5 (don't know which one, but it used to belong to PDMLer Bill O'Neill) and they were quite nice. Not a bad lens by any means.

The SMC Tak 55/3.5 is reputed to be quite good for pictorial use, perhaps less good for lens testing purposes. This may seem like a silly way to judge a lens, but I would look at the availablity and cost of filters and make that a major part of my buying decision. William Robb
