Okay, decided I had time for a second look. Like tilt, like frank, in the 
first and the background in the second (above the fence) is too dark. Rest, I 
can't say, contrast may improve it, but his face also may have become too dark 
in 
the process. I'd do a selective contrast, select an area and bump up the 
contrast there, but not throughout the whole pic.

Not that I know what I am talking about... :-)
