Unless someone can come up with a good incentive for photographers to
actually contribute to the PUG, I'd say it's about time to let it die
peacefully. Even good things have an end.

I agree.

I don't know if it should die peacefully. And since I don't have a Pentax SLR
(anymore) or DSLR, it is not really that relevant to me.

I said in another thread, and you and Bruce have said it this thread -- the
real problem with the PUG is lack of comments.

When a person shares one photo as a PESO they usually get a comment or two.
Any comments are better than none.

NOT getting comments on photos they put in the PUG, is, IMHO, what turned
most people off. Not the advent of PESOs, per se, but the advent of getting
comments on PESOs.

I mean, a lot conclude, if they show a photo and no one comments on it, that
either: everyone hated it, they stink, no one saw it, or it was just so-so
and no one had much of anything to say. Or something along those lines.

Negative reinforcement for putting photos in the PUG, in other words.

For instance, I tried for some time to make comments on the PUG, then I got
too busy and had to stop. Too many to look at and comment on at once.
