To live up to your nickname, why compare it to an ancient f/4 lens? 
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to match it with it's most recent 
sibling FA 100/2.8 macro?
:-)

Without having owned either the M or the DFA, I'd say the DFA would 
win that battle hands down.
