With all this talk about the "Magic Hour" I decided to make a pilgrimage to the shore and take advantage of the light. I was actually hoping to get some shots of the returning Egrets/Herons/Ibis etc. that are raising young on the island in this photo, but the winds were a bit high and the bigger birds seemed to have hunkered down to ride it out. Instead I got this shot. The white spots, that are just barely visible on the island are Egrets.
So I guess it is with some Egrets that I present "Pink Moon". http://www.mindspring.com/~megazip/PESO_--_pinkmoon.html Tech. I'm probably going to try another cut at this, or one of the many other slightly different exposures and compositions I tried, but this will have to do for now.
