The tilting horizon is due to the fact that after half an hour trying to get 
the film straight in the film holder, I gave up! It is straight on the film 
as I use a bubble level. There are probably several more images where the 
horizon appears tilted due to the same reason.

No. It is the scan, or more correctly, it is lost in the downsizing of the 
images. Theres no lack of detail in the original MF transparency.
