Checking with the B+H site under Pentax listing found a number of large - 145mm etc - "protective front SMC glass filters" - clear colorless permanent lens protector, multi coated to minimize reflection @ filter surface - reduces flare & ghosting.
Don't break it - it lists for $519 !
