That would be best, in full harsh sun.

I use 1/20 or 1/30 at F 4ish mostly.ISO of 1600.If i remember my  
tripod i'll use it.:-)

I often hand hold my shots at 1/20 1/30 etc. I compose my shots, using  
the 16-45,then screw the filter on and reaim and shoot. I manually  
focus,then after the filter is back on i depress the shutter and the  
red focus light comes on, but does not focus. I then use that light to  
aim at the subject and shoot.

Main tip would be to shoot Raw and to set a manual WB with the filter  
on. Focus ona piece of well lit grass. Thats what most of us seem to  
use.
