I only just recently discovered the "Program Line" options in my D. I had no idea what that custom setting meant till someone here mentioned it and I looked into it further. It's incredibly useful! Last weekend my girlfriend and I were up at my parents' place with my brothers and their wives. We younger folk played a mini game of Ultimate Frisbee, and I took photos part of the time. I turned the Program Line option to "Hi Speed" and was able to freeze the action most of the time (I was using my D-FA 100mm 2.8, but it was a really gray day). Afterwards I took a bunch of macro flower photos, so I switched the Program Line to "MTF," which, even though none of Pentax's sites explain it particularly well, I gathered meant shooting with the lens at its sharpest aperture setting. I ended up with some pretty nice stuff, though I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it yet. I think the Program Line option is a pretty damn cool idea. I don't recall seeing anything like it in any other company's cameras, and I wish I'd known about it when I was selling cameras. No one else has the kind of versatility Pentax does. Hyper modes, the Green Button, the Program Line, and now the sensitivity-priority modes. Damn I'm glad I own a Pentax. John Celio -- http://www.neovenator.com AIM: Neopifex "Hey, I'm an artist.
