Good question John. Honestly I don't know what I meant using this term ;-) Higher specked, pro bodies, full frame and such.
Thinking about it I'd say that D200 is not state of the art, either is 5D (it is a good camera, but it is not a fine tuned refined camera). So I believe I was referring to highest of the high class. BTW. In my old days as a HiFi freak I was used to referring to extremely fine tuned and well built equipment by this term. Now I think the HiFi freaks calls this stuff "high end".
