That's because all the 3rd party flash implement P-TTL compatibility by 
reverse engineering.  So they could only find out current implementation 
as used by existing models.  When a new model comes out using a previously 
unused function, the flash will not work correctly.

So for best bang for the buck, you can't argue against 3rd party flash.

But for best compatibility for current *and* future models, 360FGZ and 
540FGZ are the better choice.
