I'm about to return from a trip with my 1510, which I checked/will check both ways. From Seattle to London, both TSA-approved combination locks were snipped. Does the TSA still tape the suitcase if they snip the locks? If so, then someone else did the snipping because there was no tape. Also lost my lugggage tag (steel with steel wire to attach to suitcase).
>From Rome to Paris, I lost another TSA-approved padlock lock. Does the TSA thing only work in the US? I'm assuming I'll lose my final padlock which I'm putting on tomorrow. Don't know what to say about this, except... bring extra locks. I should have gone with my first thought, which was to bring ducttape to tape the suitcase shut with at every encounter. There's nothing in there to steal beyond dirty laundry but I shudder to think of someone opening it, not closing it properly, and two weeks of dirty laundry spread out over the baggage carousel. --skye On 10/15/06, Otis C.
