Thanks to all who replied. The information shared was very helpful and
much appreciated. Evan, thanks for the personal testimony. I will keep
that in mind as I get through what will surely be an up and down
transition from PC to Mac. Keith, I'm going to go with 2GB of RAM. The
next tier (3GB) is another $500 or so that I really can't justify right
now (I've still gotta keep room in the budget for Photoshop), so hopefully
the former will be more than sufficient. Likewise, I'll follow Godfrey's
advice about maxing out my harddrive space upon purchase.
