One thing to watch out for is noise levels.  although things have started to 
improve over the last year or two, many components could have significantly 
elevated noise levels over your present machine.  You can buy (allegedly) 
silent 650W PSUs nowadays for the same price as one that sounds like the flight 
deck of the Nimitz at rush hour.  Graphic cards are another high-level noise 
source, followed by hard drives.
