Charles,

I've been struggling with the same thing lately.  Isn't strobist
grand?  I thought the PDML was bad for enablement.

I found a Dot Line (RPS) non-dedicated wireless trigger at my local
camera shop for $95.  They had them in Canon dedicated units for a few
bucks more.  There were a couple of links to reviews of ebay triggers
in previous strobist entries:
