I believe I have less puter power than you. A laptop with AMD Turion 1,8 GHz, and 1gb ram, but at my system it runs pretty ok. But I installed at a nearly fresh system.
I've heard several reports similar to your. Strange. I hope this will be solved in the final version, because Lightroom is absolutely worth a try. After updating the Library the hard drives just kept crunching away. I don't know what they were doing but my machine was next to useless for the 5 minutes it took me to shut Lightroom down. I even un-installed & re-installed the software. Still no improvement. When software becomes this much of a hassell I give up on it. PS CS2, Bridge & ACR work fine for me so I'll stick with it. Although to be fair it could be an incompatibility issue with Windows XP x64 Cheers, Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
