Sorry, I don't have a K10D but wouldn't that depend on how often you
turn the camera on or off? I usually just let my D sit idle since it
powers itself off every thirty seconds or so. I'd have to make a
special effort to turn a K10D off and then back on, if I got one so it
doesn't seem excessive to me. ;)

Have cleaned the D sensor myself on two occasions already this year,
and paid for a cleaning done by someone else (at the beginning of the
year). I guess I'm just prone to dustiness. I usually check it before
I head out on a photo field trip if it's light out and I have the
time.
