The late harvest Zins tend to stand up well over time.  Michael Bernstein
introduced me to a wonderful treat back then - LH red wine, like the zin,
and chocolate.  Mmmmm .... at that time it was an unknown treat to me, and
I recall opening a bottle and putting out some wonderful chocolate truffles
with it, and just blowing everyone's mind.

I don't see wine as collectors items.  They're meant to be enjoyed.  I no
longer drink much wine, except at special occasions.  Last New Year's eve I
opened a bottle of '85 Heitz Martha's Vineyard - God was that good!  Those
older California reds can age very nicely.
