The SR and low light performance of the K10d is leading me down the
path to a style change.

I may have mentioned before that very early on it exposed a problem
with my technique. Somewhere along the line I had developed a bad
habit of quickly lifting my finger from the shutter button after
making an exposure. At higher shutter speeds it didn't make any
difference, but at the slower shutter speeds enabled by the new camera
it was easy to spot. Once discovered that was relatively quick and
easy to correct with a bit of concentration and practice.

I was never a big fan of flash, but for indoor family snapshots it was
more of a "use flash or don't get a picture" decision. With this
camera I can get a well exposed shot at amazingly slow shutter speeds,
but you can guess what's happening.

Previously my photos were tack sharp with any subject motion frozen by
the flash. Now I'm getting well exposed photos with quite a bit of
Frank-like subject motion.

Given the chunk of money I just spent on the camera, my brain is
telling me to enjoy the much more natural looking photos (and I am).

Don't misunderstand me, I much prefer the lighting without flash. I
even enjoy the subject motion in most of the photos. I'm just
struggling with the fact that the equipment is leading the style
change.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

See you later, gs
