Yes, update your system setup to Camera Raw v3.6. Although the  
numbers are mostly irrelevant, it seems to put the adjustments into a  
better range for adjustability purposes.

I also run the RAW/DNG files from the K10D through DNG Converter  
v3.6, to save space on disk, and do my conversions on those files. I  
tested against the original DNG files and don't see any differences.

This is a typical output image, one of a batch of portraits I made of  
my friend, with absolutely no adjustments or sharpening at all. It  
was rendered straight to JPEG/sRGB from Camera Raw v3.6. I overlaid  
the Camera Raw adjustments to give you an idea of what I've set as CR  
defaults for the K10D as well as the exposure data from the camera.

The K10D is a stunning performer and that FA20-35 ain't half-bad  
neither. ;-)
