I sort of miss "pub" like atmosphere of the list in good old days. In recent few years, some people obviously brought some unwelcome practices from other lists. While I do enjoy occasional OT's (when touched lightly in an intelligent manner with good humour), thread about global warming and hybrid cars etc are some of the most politically charged subjects and not pleasant. Everybody is opinionated on these subjects. Talk about it for a while and just fade it out. Sorry for being a spoilsports but when the list is filled with doomsday thread for so many days, and normally gentle people getting so serious/personal and battling out hard over something no one really know, it is getting ridiculous.
