Fair enough, but it's not obvious to me I just use bracketing to in
difficult exposure situations on or off the tripod. Given sufficiently
high shutter speeds (good light, just difficult scene) there is often
no practical advantage to using a tripod (but for repeatability of
frame if that's a requirement or leveling) in fact often I find using
a tripod stifles my immediate shooting options. Each to their own I
guess.
