My question is why are CF cards "more > prone" to issues than the SD card? Yes they are. The interface between CF card and reader is very delicate, and actually requires a fair degree of precision when inserting the card. If there is wear on the card, or wear inside the card bay, the card can be inserted out of alignment, resulting in a bent pin in the reader. If the reader bay isn't deep enough to force card alignment, the card can be inserted out of register and a bent pin can result. If the reader is a bit sloppy, in that the card has too much play as it is inserted, a bent pin can result. Now, all it takes is for the person putting the card into the bay to exercise a little care and diligence about what they are doing, but this seems to be beyond some people. An SD card is akin to putting an 8 track into a tape deck. William Robb -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
