The A series aperture rings tend to be notchier than K/M lenses, but focus feel tends to be as good or better in the better A lenses that I have used. Lenses like the A600/5.6, A85/1.4, the real primo lenses feel every bit as good as anything from the K era in all ways Since the camera I am using now controls aperture from the body, aperture ring feel has gone from being no big deal to a total non issue.
