My motivation lies in Windows' lack of real graphics support at the system
level (colour profiles, etc). It's there, kind-of... Haven't found out about Linux
yet but unfortunately the hardware manufacturers aren't helping there. I hope
that because they now have to write BSD drivers for OS X, porting them to
Linux shouldn't be hard.
The down side is that when I went to Magnum Mac to pick up my tablet the
other day I looked at the prices. A good G4 box is not for the faint-hearted, at
least until the G5 comes out. And that titanium laptop is one sweet piece of
gear...
