I'm afraid I can't give you a reliable answer for that. The CompactDrive definitely got more mileage on the battery, but that's because it lacks a display. I used the Epson's display for maybe 15 minutes - half an hour every day when we were in Greece. On the Epson, I was probably emptying a total of 3 to 5 Gb per day, and charging every other day. I always carried the spare battery just in case, but I never needed it. Hope that helps; sorry I can't be more specific.
