You guys have done it. Since you have been writing this negative stuff about
Windows my new computer has started turning itself on, sort of a reverse crash.
I have to do a hard power off when I shut it down, or in a couple of hours back
on it goes, all by itself. Talk about strange Windows (98SE) behavior...

As for Linux on my 486/100 it keeps crashing. Something a bout SCSI synchronizer
errors. Those SCSI hard drives are supposed to be reliable, but these only have
60-70 thousand hours on them. The longest it has gone without a reboot is only a
little over a year. Unreliable, just unreliable. Anyway that is why I put
together a new computer (a rinky-dink Athlon 900 w 256mb). As soon as I can
afford a new harddrive (it now has an old 3gb drive I had laying about) it will
be running Slackware. I have been running Slackware since version 2.0 and the
1.0.9 kernel. Tried other versions but always have come back to Slackware. (A
little more seriously, I have found kernels above 2.2.18 to be a little flaky on
the 486. Too many Pentium specific fixes I suspect).
