Hi Ann I got some magazines from my birth year 1959 and two different bottles of (undrinkable Bordeaux) with a crystal glass as well. I plan do to a still life with the wine and the glass soon :-) Technology steps like going to the moon or robots and fear of Russia have been big themes then and I like the advertising for washing and other household machines, soap, perfumes and more a lot. Older art magazines from 1970 up are quite easy and cheap to find here, I saw quite a few even older newspapers too.

I see every one mentioning it as if it's only value were its age. 1976 was a significant year for me and I was here for the event - a spectacular floatilla of old and new vessels ( although I dislike the warships in this cover photo, there were lots of older ones that were prettier.) Interestingly , June of 1976 I took a two week trip to the Canadian Rockies - my first such entirely on my own to heal myself mentally after a great loss. There are probably a lot of very well preserved copies of it floating (no pun) around but unless someone else really has a strong desire for it for a great reason, I'd love it. I started to write off list, but when I saw some of the responses to it decided differently. ann William Robb wrote: > > >>On 1/26/07, Jack Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> >>>Put it up again in 2076, along with a price. >>>At my age, 1976 seems a recent year. >>> >>>Jack >>> >>> > >Ok, for some reason, when I saw the publishing date was the 200th >anniversary of the USA, I thought that the NYT from that day might be >special for people of the Amercian community. >It'll make a nice log. > >William Robb > > > > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
