After a couple of weeks of crappy or overcast skies, Comet McNaught was finally
visible for a few nights in late January 2007 in western Sydney.

This image was taken from my back paddock while being devoured by mosquitos.....

<pathetic excuse>
The comet is now above the horizon for a longer period that when it was first
visible but it's further from the sun and fainter. I took this image at low
ISO so the comet and stars have moved during the exposure. I probably should
have tried a higher ISO but wanted to minimise noise.
