Thanks to all who graciously commented. Reviewing the original post, I
realize that I should have stopped after the second glass of wine, so
apologies for the "over-the-top" exuberance...

The prizes are some Zoo-related services such as a behind-the-scenes tour
and "Breakfast-with-the-Giraffes". Value is a few hundred dollars, but since
I'm a docent, I generally lead these things. I plan on donating them to an
inner city school, or maybe the Children's Hospital. The "painterly" look
comes from the Sigma lens and it's unusual bokeh. A good lens, but not the
A*200 macro that I wanted.

Thanks again to all, and with that, it's back to lurk mode....
