Both the 15mm and the 20m seem very sharp to me. I guess the 15mm shot was
focused at the car though, not the brick wall.
It's apity the 15mm is so darnde expensive :-)

I finally took a few test "snapshots" with
the 15mm F3.5 SMC Takumar (M42) lens
on the istDS.

http://jchriso.com/temp/15MMF35SMCTSAMPLE01.jpg

The image has been tweeked for perspective, distortion,
and CA slightly. Overall, no, it's not the sharpest lens in
the bag in this application but this
wasn't exactly unexpected considering
the huge angle this lens is designed
for. There is a bit more veiling flare than
I like too, but neither are so bad
that I am going to go plunge on a
new 14mm DA lens for now, as it's not a focal length
I would use very often I am sure and this
isn't really that bad in my honest opinion
if you have the time to tweek the results.

FWIW, I did notice my K20/4 is noticably both sharper and
shows less flare. Of course, the 20mm is not nearly
as wide as the 15mm is either on any camera!
