Jody, Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall. PhotoDeluxe (I have the Business Edition) will open most typical GIF, PNG, JPG and TIF files, and will save in the same formats - use "File-Save As-Other"
But you're right, its workspace is lousy - if you go to the store, I suggest you get Adobe PhotoShop Elements - lots, lots better. If you want features such as being able to adjust color in LAB or CMYK color spaces, I would suggest the Corel PhotoDRAW 9 Suite - I bought an OEM Disk - no manual, though, just the one disk - with Corel PhotoPaint for $40 from Directdeals.com about 6 months ago - they may have provisions for payment by check.
