Where do you get that full frame CCD for a Hassselblad? AFAIK they are something like 25mm x 25mm which is far from full frame. There are large format digital backs but they are scanning backs (work like your desktop scanner). The Kodak chip is 22mm x 34mm 6mp and the camera is something like $15K.
I don't know about stable, but if the yields are lower than expected the CCD would be in short supply and cost more than expected driving the camera out of the market nitch it was intended for. --graywolf ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark Roberts <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, September 29, 2001 1:09 PM Subject: RE: MZ digital > How can a CCD chip be "not stable"? > > But they have older cameras (made with Kodak) that do have full-frame CCDs. > And there are full-frame CCDs available (at a price) for medium format cameras > like Hasselblad, so size is not in and of itself a problem. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
