Some thoughts on some PUG shots... " Tree and Hills " by Harald Rust
http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/palubw.html Wonderful classic composition. Shot sure to a be a winner in color or grayscale. My personal favorite of the month. ----------------- " The Goalkeeper " by Gabor Ritz, http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/w111.html I didn't like this at first. But the mystery mood generated by the fog pulls me in wondering, 'if I can't see the goalkeeper, how will the goal keeper see the puck (assuming this hockey)? I'd probably crop the top 8 - 10% of the shot. ------------------- " X " by Gianfranco Irlanda http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/binariox.html Strong composition with the X of the rails and camera at ground level. Bravery award for risking life, camera, and limb in front of that oncoming car that is much closer than it appears. ------------------- " Running in the Rain " by Boris Liberman http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/pug00526.html Boris! No fair cheating with such a good image that you've already shown as a PESO. That is strictly against the rules. I suggest you read them. -------------------- " Snowflake #4 " by Fred Widall http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/snow.html Beautiful... elegant. Too bad you didn't clip the fishing line off the metal loop at the top. The illusion would have been complete. ;-) -------------------- " Nord-Mesna " by Toralf Lund http://pug.komkon.org/07mar/mesna.html Good composition with the wedge of trees in the middle and the photo nicely divided into thirds. I wish the two things sticking out if the water weren't there though. Tom C. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
