That might be a good idea. When they are really bad, it feels like they crunch or squeaks. I've been thinking the sound might scare the birds off. To prevent this I lubricate my system drinking galleons of olive oil.
Seriously. Does anybody have some solid info on the Feisol tripods. They are rated to 12kg. So, on paper they should be more stable than the Velbon. Is this true or false? And how about the general quality?
