This past weekend I wanted to shoot some film of our community band concert, but the only B&W I had was Delta 400. I loaded it in my MZ-S and set the ISO at 3200 for a 3 stop push. Today I got around to processing this roll and again had faint dark streaks on the entire roll, including the leader. Since this was the second time this has happened I started looking for the problem. Lo and behold, on the pressure plate just beneath the data imprinting window is another window that seems to have no use. When I lined the film up on the pressure plate, the streaks were perfectly aligned with this second window. Evidently there is some light leaking in around the film window on the back and getting to this second window. I haven't noticed the problem on any other film, so perhaps it is due to the 3 stop push. I intend to try again later this week and will cover the film window with some electrical tape for about 1/2 the roll to see if this is the problem.
