Ok, it's still light enough here that I was able to do some more testing. I put the 14/2.8 on the camera and did a focus test with it. Totally out of whack, though in the same direction as I was moving with the 31mm. So, I did another adjust until the 14 looked good, and tried again with the 31. The 31 looks perfect as well. I'll do some general photography tomorrow and see how things look in the real world, but I am confident I just raised the resolution of my camera significantly.
