I also highly reccomend the mazzer grinders.  We have a Mazzer Major, and 
its brilliant.  Has 83mm burrs, which in a home situation, last just about 
for ever.  Doesn't really fit the 'small' or 'quiet' thing, but they're damn 
good grinders.
