I've been using lightroom for a couple of weeks now and have not yet figured out how to compress dng files. If i shoot pef and use LR to convert to dng the resulting dng files are compressed but if i shoot dng LR does not seem to compress them after you modify them. So far the only way of compressing dng files I have found is to open them in ACR make a small change and click done.
